Spring has officially rolled around, so we though we'd write up 4 tips that will make your prospecting easier and more successful. This isn't an exhaustive list my any means, but these tips are things you can do, or start right now.

Tip# 1 - Send mailouts

Our own statistics tell us that mailout campaigns can outperform cold calling campaigns by as much as 200%. A mailout gives your prospects the chance to think about you and your offer, so when we call to follow up, the conversations are much more involved and generate better quality leads.

Yes, mailouts are an extra expense, but is saving an extra 70c per respondent really worth it in the long run?

Tip# 2 - Add value to your marketing messages

Offering a free consultation or an appriasal is the standard approach when telemarketing, why not try something a little different by offering extra value.

Adding value doesn't have to be big or flashy like a TV or iPad give-away
, it can be something as simple as
:

 - Shouting the first dinner in their new house (when they list and sell their house with you)
.

 - Offering the latest sales research (from their neighbourhood) in a 5 page report.

 - Creating a 10 page e-book outlining which quick and easy home improvements add the most value to a property.

These are all great ways to add value and make you stand out from the crowd.

Tip# 3
- Include the opt-out

Always give your prospects the option of opting out of future communication (especially if you're sending a mailout). The ability to refuse future communication gives your prospects a sense of power over the communication resulting in happier conversations.

Tip# 4 - Have a backup objective

Have at least 2 objectives for each campaign - one as the primary thing you want to happen (e.g. organising a time to ring back and set up an appriasal) and the other as a backup you can follow up on later (e.g. ask to add them to your email newsletter list).
